Stereotypes

February 9, 2011

I try to start a table thinking everyone is a 20% tipper. But the sad truth is, not everyone is. Sometimes it comes as a shock, either for better or for worse, other times you can tell.

I just want to put it out there that there are stereotypes with tippers in the restaurant world. Sometimes, you just know. If you cannot tip the waitress AT LEAST 15%, then you should NOT go out to eat. That is what McDonald’s is for. Please, we only make about $3.63 an hour, and our tips are our income. We need money to survive JUST LIKE YOU. If you  don’t want to waste your money on tipping in a restaurant, then EAT AT HOME.

The exception to this is obvious, I think. I am a little bias because I am a waitress and usually tip CRAZY amounts. But if the service is truly horrible, then a lower tip is acceptable. But if it is one little mess up, and the server told the manager, and got it taken care of, then give the server a break! They’re human! Servers are not robots and should not be treated like them!

As horrible tippers you have made us:
Cry
Give up hope on humanity
Stereotype you
Hate our job
Wonder what we did wrong (and if nothing was done wrong, then wonder why)
Feel disrespected

Moral of the story- Do Good to us And We’ll Do Good For You 🙂

My Sister <3

February 9, 2011

About a year ago I was worried to death about my sister in her relationship at the time. Since then he messed up yet again, and she finally realized it. She realized she can do better, and she has. She is now dating a wonderful guy who has been chasing her for about 4 years! He’s awesome! Treats her like you should treat your partner. I did realize that she should learn on her own, and she did. And I’m proud! I guess I’m not so bitter about it (possible, because it turned out the way I wanted…) but never the less, she is happier 🙂

ALMOST A YEAR LATER

February 9, 2011

I must have had some blogging kick last year about this time. Then I just quit. And because this link is on Facebook, I guess I COULD update it a little bit. I apologize for those three people who read this blog, and thank you, if you have, means a lot. 🙂

In a small list, I will state the reasons I don’t believe in God (in no particular order):

  1. Rape
  2. Murder
  3. Genocide
  4. Theft
  5. Kidnapping
  6. AIDS
  7. As a matter of fact, ALL STI’s
  8. Mental Disorders, there’s a whole book of them (especially the incurable)
  9. Cancer
  10. Disease
  11. Bad days
  12. ‘Christians’ who are not so much
  13. War (especially those because of religion)
  14. Terrorists
  15. No world peace
  16. People who blame God for their mistakes
  17. Discrimination
  18. The Holocaust
  19. Bombs
  20. Slavery
  21. Child abusers
  22. Pedophiles
  23. Broken hearts
  24. Teen pregnancy
  25. Young Death

Don’t you think, that if you CREATED THE WORLD, you would put a stop to all of these things, and more…? I would.

No, not the TV show, the grade school game! It was a fun, easy, fancy-free, and sometimes hilarious way of planning out your future. It decided your house you would live in, your spouse, your job, your salary, the amount of kids you would have, your car, and other things along with if you will marry for Looks, Love, or Money.
In recent months (well, actually the past year), my sister has been dealing with issues because of her boyfriend. To turn very, tedious story, into a not so tedious story– I’m scared to pieces because I don’t like her boyfriend. And I love her the most so I have to letitgo (from the TV sitcom, Reba). My point being…that there has been a ‘debate’ over facebook about Love and Money.
I would love to think that we could all just live in happy-be-free land and everything will be awesome, but that is not the case. Money makes the world go round. Now, should you base your whole entire relationship on money? Of course not! You need love, affection, attraction, laughter, similarities, etc., but goodness gracious, if your partner is not going anywhere, you need to think about your future. You can’t just make tally marks and hope for the best, then re-do it when you’re riding a scooter for the rest of your life. Think logically, because bills must be paid.

Let me tell ya somethin’

February 22, 2010

I work at a local restaurant (I will keep this a secret). And I think that there are some wonderfully nice people in the world. But there are more nasty ones. I will be informing you on how to treat service people. We have feelings, and you should be in a good mood! Someone is SERVING you for God’s sake!

Well, Hello There.

February 22, 2010

Hello, internet. I don’t really know what I’m doing. I just need a place to express my feelings about certain subjects, I’m not quite clear on those subjects, but I know I have things to say. If you stumble across my page and like it, I would highly appreciate that you pass it on. I don’t mean to get famous, I don’t mean to have more friends, and I don’t want you to feel you HAVE to tell your friends. 🙂 Enjoy.
